These napkins were embroidered by Einstein’s mother Pauline (nee Koch). They were part of Albert’s childhood home and then retained by him following the death of his mother in 1920. The matching tablecloth to these linen napkins is now in the possession of the Bernisches Historisches Museum, Switzerland (inventory no. 61-180). <<Provenance:>> Passed directly from Albert Einstein to the present owner, the consignor.
