A Viennese Roman Catholic, Irene Harand (1900-75) was an early organizer of protest against Nazi Germany's persecutions of Jews, actively campaigning against anti-Semitism throughout Europe leading up to World War II. Harrand was the author in 1935 of Sein Kampf - “His Struggle, an Answer to Hitler.”
