Hagadah shel Pesach

This Hagadah, published under the auspices of the Sochnut HaYehudit and the Va'ad Le'umi LeKnesset Yisrael, in collaboration with the American "Joint" (i.e. Jewish Joint Distribution Committee), was for the benefit of the Jewish “illegal” immigrants from Europe who had been intercepted by the British Navy and subsequently interned on the island of Cyprus. The British Mandatory authorities strictly maintained a quota system in order to limit the numbers of Jewish immigrants to Eretz Israel.
