In this Nazi-era satire we see “Max Isidor” the stereotyped image of the Jew with bulbous nose and swarthy skin, presented as a nouveau riche scoundrel attempting to seduce a guileless fair-haired German maiden (pp. 43-58). The very high production standard of this book belies its vile content.
