Welcome back to our clients and friends near and far,

As we here introduce our newest Judaica catalogue - Sale number 90.

Far and away the highlight of this auction is Lot 6: A remarkable silver-gilt Spice Tower. This extraordinarily rare example stems from a distinguished family who were prominent in the Frankfurt Jewish Community for generations.
Other lots with this distinguished provenance include: Lots 2, 3, 7, 14, 161 and 203.

Ceremonial objects (Lots 1-25) of note in this sale include a very fine Torah pointer by Matheus Städlein (Lot 8); and rare items from the Bezalel School (Lots 18 and 19).

Two fine paintings offered are an exquisite portrait by Isidor Kaufmann (Lot 26) and a rabbinic portrait by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout (Lot 27).

The graphic art section (Lots 28-50) also includes photographs by Vishniac (Lot 42) and Bonfils (Lots 43-44) as well as Holy Land maps (Lots 47-50). The magnificent World War I-era "Share" poster is also offered in this section of the sale (Lot 38).

A fine offering of American Judaica (Lots 51-73) includes such important first editions as those by Penina Moïse (Lots 54, 61) and Moses Lopez (Lot 52) along with single sheet rarities (Lots 55, 56, 63 and 64).

Among Printed Books (lots 74-197), here a few notable lots: The Szyk Hagadah (Lot 119); Paul of Burgos’ 1475 edition of Incipit Dialogus (Lot 183); the first edition of the Baal Shem Tov's Kether Shem Tov (Lot 93); and the wonderful 1889 plate-book: Le Temple de Jérusalem et la Maison du Bois-liban (Lot 147).

Among Manuscripts (Lots 198-220) of note are: A highly important document dated 1577 from the Inquisition in Mexico (Lot 211); a magnificent medical diploma for a Jewish graduate of Padua, 1686 (Lot 210); and autograph letters including those by Meir Kahane (Lot 208); The Steipler Gaon (Lot 209); the Lubavitcher Rebbe (Lot 213) and The Seridei Eish (Lot 219).

Far and away the highlight of this auction is Lot 6: A remarkable silver-gilt Spice Tower. This extraordinarily rare example stems from a distinguished family who were prominent in the Frankfurt Jewish Community for generations. Other lots with this distinguished provenance include: Lots 2, 3, 7, 14, 161 and 203. Ceremonial objects (Lots 1-25) of note in this sale include a very fine Torah pointer by Matheus Städlein (Lot 8); and rare items from the Bezalel School (Lots 18 and 19). Two fine paintings offered are an exquisite portrait by Isidor Kaufmann (Lot 26) and a rabbinic portrait by Gerbrand van den Eeckhout (Lot 27). The graphic art section (Lots 28-50) also includes photographs by Vishniac (Lot 42) and Bonfils (Lots 43-44) as well as Holy Land maps (Lots 47-50). The magnificent World War I-era "Share" poster is also offered in this section of the sale (Lot 38). A fine offering of American Judaica (Lots 51-73) includes such important first editions as those by Penina Moïse (Lots 54, 61) and Moses Lopez (Lot 52) along with single sheet rarities (Lots 55, 56, 63 and 64). Among Printed Books (lots 74-197), here a few notable lots: The Szyk Hagadah (Lot 119); Paul of Burgos’ 1475 edition of Incipit Dialogus (Lot 183); the first edition of the Baal Shem Tov's Kether Shem Tov (Lot 93); and the wonderful 1889 plate-book: Le Temple de Jérusalem et la Maison du Bois-liban (Lot 147).
