Formerly Av Beth Din of Papa, R. Moshe Vorhand was the author of Ohel Moshe and Atereth Moshe. He founded a Chassidic dynasty that is today centered in Kiryat Ata and headed by Grand Rabbi Shimon Lemberger. R. Moshe Vorhand’s grandson, Rabbi Zev Tzvi Vorhand (1913-2000), was well known on the Upper West Side of Manhattan as the Prager Rov and founder of Vorhand’s Shtiebel. R. Meshulim Feish Segal Lowy of Tosh, spent some time in Makov shortly after World War II.
