Likely <<autograph manuscript>> of an important commentary on the Agadoth of the Talmud from Tractate Berachoth until Nidah. According to a note at the beginning of the volume penned in 1913 by the author’s nephew, the manuscript is the author’s personal, autograph copy. R. Yitzchak Eizik Chaver (1789-1852) was the prime student of R. Menachem Mendel of Shklov, follower of the Vilna Gaon. He authored many works in all aspects of Torah and was one of the major promoters of the writings of the Vilna Gaon. The text of Afikei Yam was first published from this manuscript in Jerusalem in 1994.
