One of the last Jewish books published in Lithuania. In the year of its appearance the Soviet Union occupied the city of Kovno and overnight, obliterated Jewish cultural and religious activities. A year later the Germans entered the city and alongside Lithuanian Fascists focused upon the murder of the entire Jewish population. Four years later, when the war ended, 95% of the Jews of Kovno were dead.
