<<Rare edition>> that Singerman records in only one copy. A later undated edition with a subtitle “A Historical Novel” is more common. Abraham Ephraim Frankland (1831-95) was a prominent British-born merchant and civic-leader based in Memphis, Tennessee. A confederate sympathizer during the Civil War, he was appointed by Isaac M. Wise as director of the International Order of B’nai Brith for the Southern States.
