Afternoon Prayers followed by poems as well as a “Hashkavah” for the late Revd. Gershom M. Seixas, upon the 50th anniversary of the Congregation’s Burial Society. Established in 1654, New York’s Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue (Congregation Shearith Israel), the oldest Jewish congregation in the United States, moved to Crosby Street in the year 1834 before relocating in 1860.
