Nathan M. Adler (1803-90), a native of Hanover, Germany, succeeded the deceased Solomon Hirschell as Chief Rabbi of the British Empire, in which capacity he served until his death. This poem by the Rev. Dr. Benjamin Frankel, was composed in honor of the installation of Adler as Chief Rabbi of Great Britain in 1845.
