Schneerson, Joseph Isaac.

(Sixth Grand Rabbi of Lubavitch, 1880-1950). Hectographed invitation to wedding of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s middle daughter, Chaya Mushka, to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, on letterhead of “I. Schneersohn, Riga, Latvia.” The wedding took place the 14th of Kislev 5689 [1928] in Warsaw.* Two hectographed invitations to the wedding of the Rebbe’s youngest daughter, Sheina, to Menachem Mendel Hakohen Horenstein (one invitation on letterhead of “Joseph Isaac Schneersohn, Lubavitch).” The wedding took place the 10th of Sivan 1932 in the city of Landvarovna. * Typed open letter signed, “With blessing, Joseph Isaac Schneersohn,” to accompany donation of “nine shekalim” to educational fund of Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzenski of Vilna (letterhead, Riga, 25 Shevat, 1929). * Typed letter to the “Committee to write a Torah scroll in memory of the Chofetz Chaim, Vilna,” in which the Rebbe responds to the call to purchase a letter in said Torah scroll (letterhead, Warsaw, 20 Kislev 1933). Signed “Joseph Isaac.” * Address of Lubavitcher Rebbe at the All-Latvia Rabbinic Conference. Broadside. (Riga, n.d.) * Obituary for R. Shneur Zalman Schneersohn of Homel, father of Prof. Fishel Schneersohn (clipping from Yiddish newspaper). * Letter from “Menucha, daughter of R. Joseph z”l [Perlow, Rebbe of Koidanov] to her Aunt Chava Sheindel, on letterhead stationery of her husband, “Grand Rabbi Moshe Schneerson-Twersky, 922 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY” (1920s). R. Schneerson-Twersky was the son of R. Mordecai Dov Baer of Cherkass. * “Bikhel” (Booklet) of Chasidic philosophy containing: Anonymous. Reshimoth Devarim. Yiddish transcripts of two “farbrengens” (chasidic gatherings) presided over by Rabbi Shalom Dov Baer Schneersohn (father of Rabbi Joseph I. Schneersohn).
