They spent their last years in Eretz Israel These manuscripts span five generations of prominent Polish Chassidic dynasties. Beginning with the "Chozeh of Lublin," his disciples Rabbi Yitzchak of Wurka, Rabbi Yaakov David of Radzymin and followed by their descendants and disciples: Rabbi Yaakov David of Amshinov, Rabbi Shimon of Skernowitz, Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Amshinov, Rabbi Yechiel Chaim Yisrael Yitzchak of Otvock, Rabbi Pinchos Shraga Feivel Kalish of Otvock and Rabbi Yoseph Tzvi of Skernowitz, among others. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Chozeh states that the shochet should not be forced to leave the town, for he is a master of his field. A shochet should be able to undertake his work without having the anxiety of a limited wage. He concludes: "The love of the Creator, causes love of Israel, especially to those who are careful in the performance of the precepts." The Chozeh of Lublin is regarded as the Patriarch of Polish Chassidism. He was a disciple of the Maggid of Mezhritch and a colleague of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk and the Koznitzer Maggid. The founders and leaders of the most illustrious Chassidic dynasties in Poland and Galicia: Kotzk, Ger, Ropschitz and Dinov, flourished under his influence. He was known as an omniscient oracle with thousands of followers seeking advice, he thus came to be entitled the Chozeh (“Seer”).
