A pioneering grammar by Tremellius, an apostate Jew and Hebraist from Ferrara. He became professor of Hebrew at Strasbourg, Cambridge and Heidelberg Universities. The Grammatica Chaldaea is regarded as his greatest work and is dedicated to his friend, Matthew Parker, Archbishop of Canterbury.
