Skillfully illustrated by Jacob Israel ben Joseph Chaim Montefiore. Italian square Hebrew script. Hebrew text with Italian translation in a refined and florid hand. Two parts in one. Two titles, first with pen-and-ink illustration of a pair of fowl, second title with pen-and-ink illustration of a large-horned ox. f.2r of second part with colored illustration of the Lung (relating to the potential defects that would render the animal non-Kosher). Manuscript concludes with a pair of decorative colored tablets pp.24 and 92 (excluding blank pages). Browned, few neat paper repairs. Contemporary straight-grain morocco, gilt extra, marbled endpapers, rubbed. 8vo
