This type of amulet originated with the Yismach Moshe, and was often used by Reb Shayele of Kerestir. The Grand-Rebbe of Klausenberg, R. Yekuthiel Yehudah Halberstam, encouraged Jews who were in mortal danger during the Holocaust to employ this Segulah. The amulet can be decoded as follows: The first line is comprised of the first letter of each word (each letter an alternating verse) from Tehillim 122:7 and 91:10. The second line contains the first letter of each word of Bereishith 19:11. The final two lines are from Mas. Bava Bathra 91a (concerning the mother of Avraham Avinu). <<Provenance:>> From the estate of an individual who received this directly from the Rebbe. (Names and specific details will be provided to the successful bidder).
