The second Biala Rebbe, R. Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowicz was the son of Grand Rabbi Yerachmiel Ya’akov Tzvi Rabinowitz (Admur Biala-Siedlce, 1880-1906) and was raised by his grandfather, Grand Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Leib Epstein (Admur Ozarow, 1837-1914).
In 1923, R. Yechiel Yehoshua become Rebbe of Siedlice. Following the Nazi conquest of Poland, he fled to the Russian-controlled zone, but was subsequently exiled to Siberia. In 1947 he immigrated to Mandatory Palestine and settled in Tel Aviv. He was in the forefront of activity to maintain adherence to traditional Judaism, to which end, he was one of the founders of the Chinuch Atzma’i educational network, as well as a member of the Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah.
R. Shalom Yechezkel Shraga Rubin-Halberstam, the Chiechenover Rebbe, was the son of Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Rubin (1891-1942), the second Admor of Chiechenov.
