A prolific writer, R. Aryeh Leib Zuenz (1769-1833) was the rabbi of Plotzk and later headed a Yeshiva in Warsaw. Known for his erudition, he maintained friendly contact with both Chassidim and Mithnagdim - uncommon in his time. He directed that the inscription on his tombstone state he would intercede in Heaven on behalf of anyone who published his books. Consequently, many came forward to publish them.
