Goren Nachon is a collection of three classic philosophic works all translated from the original Arabic into Hebrew: Ibn Gabirol’s Tikun Midoth HaNephesh, Ibn Ishak’s Musarei HaPhilosophim, and Sepher HaTapu’ach, attributed to Aristotle. Ibn Gabirol was translated by Judah ibn Tibbon; Ibn Ishak by Judah al-Harizi, and pseudo-Aristotle by Abraham b. Chasdai Halevi. The editor Joseph Aschkenazi of Padua added subject headings and names of scholars cited in each paragraph (noted alongside the margins).
