R. Shmuel Laniado (d. 1605) is known as the ‘Ba’al HaKeilim’ as each of his works commence with the word, ‘Kli.’ A rabbi in Aleppo (Aram-Tzova), Laniado wrote many commentaries to Biblical texts, some of which remain in manuscript to this day.
