<<An early text for teachers, with extensive Yiddish translation.>> In his introduction, the author states he was prompted to issue this teachers’ aid translation, having directly witnessed the poor understanding of the Biblical text by his students in the original Hebrew. The author's method is to intersperse Yiddish translation with Hebrew passages of original interpretation. A significant portion of commentary is given to those verses upon which Christianity rests its belief, and in turn, provides a traditional Jewish response. Included at the conclusion of Tehilim: R. David Kimchi's Teshuvoth LeNotzrim (Responses to Christians), often lacking due to censorship.
