The consensus among bibliographers was to date this work as issued in 1611. Recent scholarship has revised this to 1617. The Author cites here three unpublished works of his: On ethical and religio-philosophical problems, as well as a novellae to the Talmud. R. Aharon Shmuel began preaching in Fürth towards the end of 1606, in 1615 he was appointed Rabbi of the town.
