The writer was the son of R. Shmuel Tzvi Danziger (author of Tifereth Shmuel, 1860-1923) and brother of R. Yitzchak Menachem Danziger (1880-1942), the Admors of the Alexander dynasty which was founded by grandfather, R. Yechiel. Along with his brother the Rebbe, R. Avraham Chaim was the founder and rosh yeshiva of the Beis Yisrael network of yeshivos in Poland, named in memory of his uncle, the author of Yismach Yisrael.
