A collection of historical documents published by the Jewish Historical Society of England on the matter of the British Consulate in Jerusalem’s work on behalf of the Jews of Palestine. Albert Montefiore Hyamson (1875-1954) was a British historian and Chief Immigration Officer of the British Mandate of Palestine from 1921 to 1934. Some of the documents published in this work came from the Consulate’s archives, to which Hyamson had access, and had never before been published.
