Policy in Palestine.

Finding impracticable the recommendation of the Peel Commission (1937) that Palestine be partitioned into Arab and Jewish States, the British Government appoints here the Woodhead Commission (officially the Palestine Partition Commission) to propose a detailed partition scheme for Mandatory Palestine. It includes recommending partition boundaries and an examination of the economic and financial aspects of the Peel Plan.
