Founded in 1825, Congregation B’nai Jeshurun dedicated its present building on New York City’s West 88th Street in 1917, and included an address by Manhattan Borough President Marcus M. Marks. The 1918 Dedication Service of cantor, choir and organ culminated with a prayer and benediction by Rabbi Frederick de Sola Mendes.
