An accounting of expenditures administered by the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien (IKG) – the only Jewish organization permitted by the Nazis to function following the Anschluss. This most professionally produced report, written entirely in English, was prepared for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and provided important economic and human statistics relating to the crucial need to find sanctuary for Austrian-Jews - quite literally anywhere in the world that would accept them. The report opens with the statistic that of 110,328 Jews having left, as of September 15, 1939, 66,260 Jews were still in Vienna. Emigration details are broken down by country and by number of emigrants. Also noted are expenses relating to communal social service needs. This report is a continuation of the “Report of the Vienna Jewish Community” issued May-June, 1939 (see Kestenbaum Auction, November, 2018, Lot 143). <<Scarce. Not in WorldCat.>>
