Unfortunately, few facts have survived concerning the biography of R. David Abudraham. This work, his magnum opus, was completed in Seville in 1340 and is considered by critical scholars as a highly important repository of Spanish and Provencal tradition which, without it, would otherwise have been lost. It was first printed in Lisbon, in 1490.
