AUCTION 52
Debuts Its First Auction of Fine & Rare Vintage Kosher Wines
Kestenbaum & Company
Debuts Its First
Auction Of
Fine & Rare Vintage
Kosher Wines
Kestenbaum & Company, New York’s premier Auction House of Rare and Antique Judaica was pleased to have presented the first ever Auction of Fine and Rare Vintage Kosher Wines on the evening of September 22nd.
What can we say? -- It was a learning experience!
Although far too many lots went unsold for our liking, nonetheless, with a packed saleroom, hundreds of pre-auction inquiries, along with broad media interest, we are left with the feeling that the vision we had of establishing a solid auction market for Fine and Rare Vintage Kosher Wines remains a wise one – although possibly premature. Consequently, although we would indeed like to organize another such auction of Fine & Rare Vintage Kosher Wines, we first wish to consider feedback from other wine connoisseurs and thus invite our clients thoughts upon the matter.
A handful of highlights from the auction:
A Double Magnum of the Yarden, Katzrin-Vintage 1990 Sold for $3,382
A Double Magnum of the Yarden, Katzrin-Vintage 1993 Sold for $3,075
A case of the Château Léoville Poyferré-Vintage 2000 Sold for $1,600
