The Company's inaugural sale consisted of 399 lots. Results (including buyer's premium) of selected lots offered included:

  • The first Hagadah printed in London, 1770, which brought $12,650
  • An illustrated manuscript on the rites of circumcision, (Germany 1820) that tripled its estimate to sell for $14,950
  • A Yiddish Eye-Test Chart printed on cloth (American, early 20th century) that sold for $8,050
  • Esther Levy's Jewish Cookery Book, the first Jewish Cook Book printed in America, sold for $2,875
  • An interesting collection of postcards, catalogued in nine lots, fetched an impressive $28,250
  • A most uncommon brass Vase produced by the Bezalel School of Art (Jerusalem c. 1920) reached $8,800.

In his review of the auction, Nicolas Barker commented, "It was a promising beginning..." (The Book Collector, Spring 1997).
